William (Bill) C. Hall, 69, of Sycamore passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Northwestern Hospital in DeKalb, surrounded by loved ones.
Bill was born on July 22, 1952, in Elgin to Gerald and Gladys (Osborne) Hall. He married Janice Weber on October 11, 1980. They moved to Sycamore the following year and had 3 children together. He was an automotive franchise owner for over 20 years, and shared a love of cars and racing his entire life.
Some of the hobbies he enjoyed were boating, fishing, billiards, painting, fantasy football, visiting his vacation home in Wisconsin, spending time with family, and adoring his grandchildren. Bill always had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing useless bits of knowledge. He was a gentle giant with a calm and loving nature, and always gave great bear hugs.
Survivors include his wife Janice (Weber) Hall; 3 children: Jennifer (Tim) Caravia, Jason (Sara) Hall, and Tracey (Chad) Lynch; 3 grandchildren: Emmett, Adley, and Kenna; brother Jerry (Janet) Hall; brother in-laws Mike Weber and Jim Weber; nieces Elizabeth Hall and Katherine Berall; and nephews Jay Weber and Will Weber.
He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Hall, mother Gladys Hall, father in-law Arthur Weber, mother in-law Mary Weber, and niece Alexis Weber.
His Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, April 16, from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 Dekalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178.
