William "Bill" D. Folowell's Obituary
William "Bill" D. Folowell, 72, of DeKalb died Thursday, April 22, 2021 at NW Medicine- Kishwaukee Hospital.
He was born on April 29, 1948 in Sycamore to Thomas and Bertha (Eberly) Folowell. He married Debra S. Ernest on January 27, 1968.
Bill worked for the Sycamore School District in their maintenance department, retiring after 38 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars and in his earlier years- fixing tractors for farmers.
Bill loved to stay busy. He collected die cast cars and was an avid wood worker. In his spare time, he would work on projects in his home and help others if they needed a spare hand.
Survivors include his wife, Debra; grandson, Dylan Folowell; daughter-in-law, Karen Folowell; sister, Sharon Watts; brother-in-law, John Ernest and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, William "Bill" P. Folowell; two brothers, Thomas Glen Folowell and Robert Folowell; and his sister, Donna White.
His graveside service will be private. Burial will take place at the Genoa Cemetery.
