Wayne W. Walter, Jr., 58, of Vicksburg MI, formerly of Wilmette, IL died suddenly on January 12, 2024 in Michigan.
He was born on February 13, 1965 in
Berea, OH. He was the son of Wayne W. and Nancy (Bunner) Walter. He married Amelia Yuliana on June 20, 2009 at a small ceremony in Indonesia and a private ceremony on March 26, 2010 in Florida.
Upon graduation from New Mexico Military Institute he was commissioned into the Army National Guard. He obtained the rank of Captain and honorably served until he resigned his commission.
He was employed with Dimplex Thermal Solutions in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he served as president of the company.
His hobbies were many and was dedicated to each one. Some of them included woodworking, landscaping as well as model railroading.
Wayne always knew how to sneak in a joke for any situation. He showed compassion and support for all his family, friends and coworkers. Above all he loved his wife, kids and his country.
Wayne is survived by his loving family, wife Amelia (Yuliana), children Kirana, Wayne, Arianna, Isabella and Matthew. His mother Nancy Walter, his sisters Donna(Plane) and Wendy(Eul), his brothers Jeff and Craig along with all their families. His father and mother-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law, David and Dennis Yuliana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Walter, two brothers Eric and Matt Walter and brother-in-law Brian Plane.
His visitation will be on Friday, January 19th from 9:45-11:45 AM at the St. Catherine of Genoa Church, 340 S. Stott St., Genoa, IL. 60135.
His funeral mass will begin at 12:00 PM at the church with a luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Walter children education fund would be greatly appreciated.
