Trisha E.
(Burchard) Frayne
Nov 20, 1968 — Mar 12, 2022
Trisha E. (Burchard) Frayne was born November 20, 1968 in Sycamore, IL. She died suddenly on March
12, 2022 in Woodland, CA.
She was the daughter of Verge and Peggy (Harrison) Burchard. She married the love of her life, Ron
Frayne August 28, 1999 overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Trisha enjoyed her new life with Ron in California near the ocean but the pull of family brought them to
Sycamore, IL where they soon started their own family. They were blessed with two beautiful and
talented sons. The boys were the light in her eyes. She always carried a special love for children, and
because of this, children were naturally drawn to her. Her inviting smile and her tender ways were so
easily noticed by all. In her eyes, family was everything. Family was defined by not only a bloodline, but
also a heart-to-heart connection. Those that were closest to her (related or not) were considered by her
to be family. She felt a deep love for the children in her life- her boys, her nieces and nephews as well as
the children of her closest friends. They were all like her own children. Being connected with family
helped to drive many decisions in her life. She and Ron felt the pull of California and the family that
resided out west. They returned to California with their sons in 2015.
Trisha started working at a young age at Kingsway Restaurant (now Parkway) where she learned about
hard work and dedication. She attended Northern Illinois University where she received a Bachelor
Degree in Political Science. She also attended Elgin Community College where she received training as a
Paralegal. She worked as a Paralegal for Agile, Sears, SXC, and finally Grant Thornton. She was known as
a dependable, professional, and productive employee. She was always willing to roll up her sleeves in
order to go above and beyond for the sake of a successful project or deadline. She could be assertive
when called for. She could be understanding and calm when required. In addition to her commitment to
work and family, she also could be found volunteering at one of her sons' schools or in the community.
Trisha was always willing to help and support those in need- whether it was a listening ear, a helping
hand, finding resources, proof-reading school papers, offering a fresh perspective, giving
encouragement, or just sitting quietly with a friend in need. Trisha was well-known for her bear hugs
and her brownies.
Trisha is survived by her husband, her sons Tom and Blake, her brother, Randy (Tracy) Burchard, her
sisters-in-law Eileen (Mike) Mayes and Debbie Barberie, nephews and nieces Kyle James, Alex (Heather
Pardridge) Burchard, Caitlin Mayes, Sam Mayes, Meagan, Sean, Donnie (Amelia), Richie, Nathan, Lilly,
and Anna Barberie, a Great Niece Ariel Barberie, and her in-laws Ronald and Pat Frayne. She is also
survived by special friends Sue and Scot Rankin, Jim and Beth Burton, Emma and Jon Saladino, Andrew
Rankin, Olivia, Paige, and Conner Burton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her nephew Jake Mayes, her uncles Roy Ross and Harvey
Larson, her aunts Shirley Minnihan and Pat Dagg, cousin Gary Dagg, and her maternal and paternal
grandparents.
Funeral service will be held at Woodland Funeral Chapel, Woodland, CA on March 26, 2022 9:00-Noon.
There will be a memorial visitation on Saturday, July 16th from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., in Sycamore, IL, with a memorial service beginning at 3:30 PM.
