Tommy McGee, 78, of Sycamore, died Monday, March 29, 2021 at his home.

He was born on July 8, 1942, in Rockford, IL, to Warren and Doris (Duval) McGee.

Tommy married Carol G. Hall on February 11, 1972.

Tommy was a local union cement mason for many years.  He was involved in doing the 8 ^th floor of the Sears Tower.  He was a Sycamore and Geneva custodian.  Tommy lastly retired as a custodian in Geneva.

He was an avid bow and arrow deer hunter and fisherman.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Carol; 3 children, Corey (Trish) Baumann, Clint (Sue) Baumann, and Jessica (Michael) Krise; 4 grandchildren, Patty, Randall, Gabriel, and Jazmen; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Ernie (Judy) McGee, Mark (Sharon) McGee, and Steve (Sierra) McGee; his sister, Carolyn McGee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Chris.

His visitation will be Friday, April 2, from 10:30am-12:30pm at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave, IL 60178.  All Covid-19 restrictions will be followed according to the IDPH.

Tommy's funeral service and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials for Tommy McGee can be made to his family in care of Butala Funeral Home and Crematory.
