She was born May 6, 1945 in Ottawa, IL.  Sheila married Sidney L. Orstead in 1967.

Sheila was the secretary to the assistant director of food service at NIU for 14 years.  She enjoyed going to the Assembly of God Church and loved the outdoors- going for walks and being in the sunshine.  She loved being a wife and mother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Sidney; two daughters, Michelle Orstead and Meredith Orstead (Rod Buehler); her brother, Dale Westphal; four sisters, Dorothy Daronco, Darla (Neal) Abrahamson, Gael Clifton (Adnana) and Mary (Lee) Fritz; three brothers-in-law, Dick (Sharon) Orstead, Jack (Marlene) Orstead and Rick (Karen) Orstead; two sisters-in-law, Karen (John) Curry and Nancy (Richard) Radtke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie R. Fast; her brother-in-law, Donald Daronco; and two sisters-in-law, Sue Livingston and Joyce Bretthauer.

The family would like to thank NW Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital, Bethany Rehab and Health Care Center and JourneyCare Hospice for their compassion and kindness.

The services for Sheila will be private.
