Sharon F. Luper, 80, of San Benito, TX formerly of Sycamore, IL died April 12, 2022 peacefully at home. She was born December 3, 1941 in DeKalb, IL. The Daughter of Ellen (McDermott) and Wendell Blake.
She married her husband Richard on February 6, 1960.
Sharon worked at Sycamore Hospital, Ideal Industries, and Kishwaukee Community Hospital until she retired. Sharon was a longtime resident of Sycamore, IL. When she retired Sharon and her husband Rich moved to Colfax, IN and from there to San Benito, TX.
She loved taking care of people, spending time with her family, camping, shopping, cooking, dancing and helping with pet rescue. She was a member of the San Benito Elks Lodge and Saint Theresa Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughters; Lori (Michael) Swedberg, Sherri (Patrick) O'Donnell , all of Sycamore, Jane Anderson of San Benito, TX.
Grandchildren; James (Jessica) Swedberg, Sharon (Omar) Ordaz, Nicole (Josh) O'Donnell, Tony (Chania) O'Donnell, Lauren (Andrew) Powers and Blake (Lacy) Anderson.
Great Grandchildren; Luther and Andrew Swedberg, Owen and Norah Ordaz, Addison Perez, Avery and Jace Powers, Alexandra Anderson and Chloe Blair.
Brother; William Kozuch.
Nephews; Brian (Jami) Kozuch, Scott Kozuch, and Chad (Stephanie) Kozuch.
Niece; Pamela (Eugene) Straub.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents, sister-in-law Phyllis Kozuch, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held Saturday April 30, 2022 from 11:00 to 1:00pm at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM.
There will be a private graveside burial following.
