Sariyah A. Watson, 21, of DeKalb, Illinois entered eternal rest with the Lord on May 10, 2026.

Born on December 13, 2004, Sariyah lived with intention, strength, and a faith that was deeply her own. A proud graduate of the DeKalb School District and a junior at University of Illinois Chicago pursuing a degree in Sports Management, She was a gifted track athlete whose discipline, determination, and quiet excellence inspired all who knew her.

Beyond athletics, Sariyah had a remarkable gift for uplifting others. Passionate about fitness and personal growth, she encouraged people to believe in themselves and strive for more. She was known for her wisdom, compassion, and ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued. Sariyah left a lasting impact on every life she touched. Her laugh was unforgettable, her spirit contagious, and her love deeply personal and genuine.

Sariyah leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Surray Williams; her father, Antonio Watson; her sister, Aria Watson; her grandmothers, Terry Williams and Tina Letcher; and a large circle of beloved family members, friends, teammates, and loved ones.

Though her race on earth was far too short, the legacy of her faith, kindness, strength, and love will continue to live on in all who knew her.

Her Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 30th beginning at 11:00 AM at Christ Community Church, 2350 Pride Ave., DeKalb, IL.

The doors will open to the public at 10:15 AM.

Burial will be private.
