Sandra J. Earl, 86, of DeKalb and Sycamore, IL. passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025 at OSF St. Anthony's Medical Center in Rockford, IL.

She was born on July 6, 1939 in Sycamore, IL to Harvey and Evelyn (McDermott) Thomas. She was a 1957 graduate of Sycamore High School and earned her Associate Degree at Kishwaukee College. She married Robert Boyle, and later married Frank Earl.

She is survived by her children: Julie (Gary) Grendahl, Katrina Boyle, Bob (Karen) Boyle and Bill (Emily) Boyle. She was a grandmother to Eric, Hannah, Ryan, Connor, Katie and Audrey. Sandra also leaves behind 1 great-grandchild, Liam. Sandra is further survived by her siblings, Ray, Sue, Toni, Harvey and Brad.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her parents, and her sister, Theresa.

Her memorial visitation will be on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL.  A memorial service will begin at 1:30 pm at the funeral home.  A graveside service will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Sycamore.
