Ronald Lee Riley, 56, of DeKalb, IL, formerly of Genoa, IL, passed away at his home on August 4, 2026.

Ron was born September 2, 1969 in Belvidere, IL to James Riley and Judith (Lawton) Klassen.

Ron was an experienced roofer and Jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading, and nature walks.

He is survived by his daughter Brianne Riley (Zach Harrelson), his father, James Riley, siblings Mel (Sheila) Klassen, Edward Klassen, Angela Klassen-Tatroe, Tammy Fiske, and Timothy (Pam) Riley, and his grandchildren Stella and Eleanor.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Katrina, his sister Jamie Riley-Goodfellow, his step-father Dennis Klassen, and his mother Judith Klassen.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 9, at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St., Genoa IL.

He will be laid to rest at the Genoa Township Cemetery following visitation, with his daughter Katrina.
