Ronald L. Bowen's Obituary
Ronald L. Bowen, 78, of Sycamore died Friday, August 2, 2019 at NW Medicine- Delnor Hospital in Geneva.
He was born August 4, 1940 in East St. Louis, IL. to Perry and Emmadell (Bagley) Bowen. He married Julia Russell on June 1, 1962.
Ronald worked for various telephone companies and held numerous positions. He retired from Verizon after 57 years of service in the telephone industry.
Ronald enjoyed drag racing, motorcycle racing, dancing, roller skating, camping and reading. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. What he
enjoyed most was spending time with his family.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Julia; children, Kim (Dale) McMahon and Bryan Bowen; grandchildren, Amber Bowen and Zachery Bowen; his siblings, Michael Bowen, Cynthia Dinsmore and Diane Middleton;
sister-in-law, Barbara Schmid and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 7th at 10:30 am at the Elmwood Cemetery -located at the intersection of Elmwood Street and Charles Street in Sycamore.
