Robert (Bob) E. Brust, Sr.'s Obituary
Robert E. (Bob) Brust, Sr., 79, of Sycamore died on May 19, 2022 at NW Medicine- Kishwaukee Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 17, 1942 in Ottawa, IL. To Merle F. and Lonene (Wynn) Brust. He married Joy Ingram on December 24, 1962 in Waterman.
Bob was a truck driver and worked for the City of Sycamore- Street Department for 22 years where he became an assistant manager. After his retirement, he continued to drive trucks and started his Lawn Rolling business. He loved to be out and visit with people. Bob will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his son, Robert Brust, Jr. (Kellie Schafer) of Sycamore; 3 grandchildren, James Brust, Ashley Glant and Zachary Brust; 2 great grandchildren, Justin Brust and Hayden Glant; 2 brothers-in-law, Dr. Gordon Murley and Ronald Ingram; and niece, Carlotta (Dan) Nellans.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joy in 2016; brother, Merle Brust, Jr.; and sister Helen Murley.
His Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, June 18
th
from 12:00-4:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL.
