Richard W. Elliott, 78, of Genoa, died Saturday, January 9, 2021, at The Grove of St. Charles. He was born July 11, 1942, in Mayville, ND to Clifford and Nellie (Hall) Elliott.
Richard married Karen Baenziger on September 7, 1968. The two met in 1967 while Richard was a chef and Karen was a beautician at the Fargo hotel. Richard asked her to shampoo his hair and dazzled her with his personality and private pilot's license.
They were married in 1968 and their love only grew as they had two sons: Todd and Bradley Elliott.
Richard retired from a job as a truck driver with True Value Hardware to focus on his passions. Richard loved sharing his photos of the amazing places he and Karen visited. One of his favorite trips was to the Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico.
Richard is survived by his wife, Karen Elliott and his children, Todd Elliott, and Bradley (Tammy) Elliott. He also has grandchildren, Jackalyn (Benjamin) Beck, Taylor Elliott, and Nathan Elliott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Elliott and Nellie (Hall) Elliott, and his brother, Charles Elliott.
