Richard "Rick" Hickey passed away Saturday January 22

, 2022 at his home in Cortland, IL.
Rick was a fun loving guy with a big heart. He was a generous man, a protector, and mentor to all. Rick will be dearly missed by both family and friend.
He is now at peace and able to breathe easier and walk with his niece Elizabeth Jean and his parents.
Rick is survived by his three brothers James Hansen, Rod Hickey, and Jerry Hansen. Rick is also survived by several cousins , nieces and nephews, including Lynn (Pinnhead) Hickey and Zack Hickey.
Rick also left behind his PA's and close friends Jonelle (Blondie) Beightley, (Sgt) Sherri Henning, and Carol Honeycutt. RIP dear friend, we love you.
His Visitation will be on Saturday, February 26
th
from 1:00 -3:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
