Phyllis E. Bowman, 86, of Sycamore died on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the Aperion Care Center in DeKalb, IL.

She was born on February 4, 1937 in Mt. Vernon, IL. to Harley and Ruby (Minor) Sechrest.

Phyllis is survived by her grandson, Bryan (Ellyn) Jensen; 5 great granddaughters; brother, Jesse Sechrest of Effingham, IL; sister, Karen Whaley of DeKalb, IL; sister-in-law, Diane Sechrest of Sycamore, IL; son-in-law, Craig Swinson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Swinson and her brother, Dennis Sechrest.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 24th at 1:00 PM at the Fairview Park Cemetery, 1600 S. 1st St., DeKalb, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her family in care of the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
