Pattie J. Marx, 78, of DeKalb formerly of Genoa died February 2, 2025 at Heritage Woods in DeKalb, IL.

She was born on September 10, 1946 in Chattanooga, TN to Raymond and Edna Marie (Morrison) Lusk.  She was married to Charles "Randy" Tansley in 1965.  After his death, she later married Fred Marx in 1980.

She was employed at Citizens First National Bank in Genoa since 1988 and retired from Heartland Bank and Trust in Genoa after 30 plus years of employment.

She was  member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Genoa, the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, founding member of the Genoa-Kingston PTO, the G-K Education Foundation, the G-K School Board and the G-K Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include her children, Donovan Tansley, Pamela Ramert and Michelle Tansley (Mark Adams); 4 grandchildren Jared (Shawna) Tansley, Viktor Hammon, Morgan and Logan Ramert; 2 great grandchildren, Malachi and Scarlett Tansley; 2 sisters, Faye (Randy) Braun and Deborah Wodrich;  her sisters-in-law, Joleen Lusk and Janet Freeman; one brother-in-law, Fred Tansley; her two aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; her in-laws; her grandson, Quinton Tansley; her brother, Eddie Lusk and brothers-in-law, Dick Wodrich and Marvin Marx.

Her visitation will be on Tuesday, February 11th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa.

Her funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 12th at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Genoa Cemetery
