Patrick John Windle, 79, of Sycamore (previously of St. Charles, IL and Green Valley, AZ), died at home December 1, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.  He was born November 24, 1941 in Chicago, IL to John and Jean (Tucker) Windle.  He was a 1965 graduate of Lewis University and spent 26 years as an Operations Manager for AT&T.

His greatest joy was the family he made with his wife of 48 years Donna (Nelson) Windle.  He had five children Tracey (Greg) Bosch, Richard (Debbie) Windle, Kelly (David) Gawlik, Patrick (Kerry) Windle and Penny (Tim) Morgan.  He was the proud grandfather of 12, Kyle, Brennan and Blake Bosch, Calvin, Avril and Clancy Windle, Madison and Tanner Gawlik, Morin and Finn Windle and Samantha and Grace Sonkin.  He was also a loving brother-in-law, uncle to many nieces and nephews and a devoted friend.

He was a devout Catholic, an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, especially as it related to his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean (Tucker) Windle and his brother, Michael Dennis Windle.

Funeral preparations are being conducted by Butula Funeral Home ( www.butalahomes.com ). A  funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Church at 244 Waterman Street in Sycamore at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 with a private burial following at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.
