Patricia (Patti) Y. Tillman, 85, of Genoa formerly of Bartlett, died peacefully on September 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 25, 1938 in Wauconda, IL to Harry and Dorothea "Doris" (Witt) Garland.  She married Vernon N. Tillman on Sept. 13, 1958.

Patti graduated from Wauconda High School.  She enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing cards with friends.  She was a Christian woman, loved spending time with her family and would have fun going on adventures.

Her creativity was original- by her sewing of clothing and making dolls and gifts for family and friends.  She also liked to crochet, cook and garden.

Survivors include her sons, Neal (Patricia) Tillman, Dennis (Melanie) Tillman and Bobby Tillman; her daughter, Sharon (Rick) Simonson; grandchildren, Brian Tillman, Cassi Traggardh, Kevin (Brittany) Simonson, Weston Tillman and Sarah Hilliard;and great grandchildren, Bailey Wheat, Natalie Tillman and Cooper Tillman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Garland and Doris Garland-Witt-Miller; her husband, Vernon; brother, Dale Garland; and a sister in infancy.

Her visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 18th from 10:00 -11:00 AM at the Crosswind Community Church, 13100 Cherry Road, Genoa, IL.     Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.   A luncheon will follow the service at the Church from 12:00-1:00 PM.

Burial will take place after the luncheon at the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery on Route 20 in Elgin.
