Patricia S. Siebrasse, 90, of Sycamore died January 6, 2025 at Lincolnshire Place in Sycamore.


She was born on July 19, 1934 in Belvidere to Chauncey and Dorothy (Mitchell) Starr, Jr.    She married Gordon Siebrasse in October of 1957.


Patricia worked at Northern Illinois University as an Administrative Assistant for over 50 years.


She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary (past president, Boone County), DeKalb Elks Lodge Member, Election Official, Happy Harmony, International Association of Administrative Professionals (local and international officer), Malta PTA/PTO, Malta School Board Member (officer), Malta Township Supervisor, Malta Village Clerk, NIU Operating Staff Council Member and Secretary Malta United Methodist Church.

Patricia enjoyed doing crossword and word search puzzles, reading, was a sports fan of any activity her grandchildren were participating in.

Survivors include her sons, David (Dawn) Siebrasse, Brian (Jodi) Siebrasse and Steven (Michele Gray) Siebrasse; her daughter, Brenda (Jay) Hunt; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Kerry (Dar) Hopperstad; sister, Mary (Jay) Cordray and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Roger; one brother, two sisters, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.


Her visitation will be on Thursday, January 9th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., in Sycamore.  Her memorial service will be on Friday, January 10th at 11:30 AM at the funeral home with burial at Fairview Park Cemetery.


The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the NIU Foundation in support of the Patricia Siebrasse Award. This award recognizes NIU administrative professionals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their field, operational efficiency within their organization, and meaningful contributions to the university community.
