Pamela Sue Olson, 69, of Thomson, IL died on June 20, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born on March 8, 1957 in Huntley, IL to Irvin and Dollie (Lee) Scott.  She married Andrew Olson on April 3, 1993.  He preceded her in death on December 10, 2025.

Pam took great pride in her work. She was a natural leader and a cherished mentor.  She found joy in helping others grow professionally.  When she had some free time, you could find her boating, traveling or planning her next getaway.

Pam leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She loved to bake and was known for her pies and cinnamon rolls. When she was not in the kitchen, she enjoyed her beautiful garden.  Pam was also a dog lover, always ready to welcome any furry friend.

Survivors include her son, Ryan (Cindy) Ellett; her grandchildren, Shaelyn, Sophia, Joey and Nathan; her brother, Jerry (Julie) Helmer; numerous nieces and nephews and her special loving sidekick, Winnie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and five siblings, Duane Blanton, Lela Casey, Romane Blanton, Ronnie Blanton and Laura Egerstaffer.

Her memorial visitation will be on Saturday, June 27th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St., Genoa, IL.   A memorial service will begin at 4:00 PM with Rev. Kim Chapman officiating.
