Pamela Kay German, 77, of Belvidere died February 22, 2023 at Symphony Northwoods in Belvidere.

She was born August 17, 1945 in Avon, IL to Roy Robert and Mary Helen
(Raby) Barnes, Jr.   She was married to Bruce E. German.

Pam worked at Greenlee Textron, retiring after 20 years of service.
Pam was active in dogs for most of her life, earning many AKC titles on
them. Soft spoken, kind, and generous with her time, she helped many
novice dog owners get started in tracking and was in demand as a tracking judge.

First approved as a Tracking Dog judge by AKC in August 1995, she was
approved to judge all four levels of tracking tests. Served on the 2004 Tracking Advisory Committee.

A longtime member of the Pecatonica
Tracking Club, Inc. and Golden Retriever Clubs of America and
Illinois.  She earned the elite AKC tracking title of Champion Tracker with three of her golden retrievers and one German shepherd dog.
