Nancy Lee Marek 08/01/1931 - 01/08/2024

Nancy Lee Marek, 92, of Genoa, IL, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on January 8, 2024.

She was born in Chicago in 1931 to Peter and Agnes Lee and is the 3rd of 6 children. She was a very strong and independent woman who raised 5 children while working full-time at Grief Brothers Corporation in Northlake, IL as plant manager. She retired in 1999 and proceeded to live a quiet life enjoying her family and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her grandsons Kyle Ryder Slinker and Kyle Thomas Loftus, siblings Peter (Eleanor), Elaine, Ken (Karen), Jack (Bobbie), Cassie and husband Bob.

She is survived by brother Richard, children Mary (John), Jeanne (Craig), Bob, Anne, John (Kathy), grandsons Nathan and Lucas, granddaughters Teaghan (Cory), Novelle (Ryan), Megan, Jessica (Jonathan), great-grandsons Caleb, Landon, Benjamin, great-granddaughter Alice, and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy is donating her body to science. A private mass will be held at St. Catherine's of Genoa Church, 340 S. Scott St. Genoa, IL. 60135.  A memorial gathering will be held in the spring.  The place and date to be determined.
