Morgan Paige
Brons
May 6, 1998 — Mar 10, 2026
Morgan Paige Brons, J.D., 27, of Sycamore IL passed away on March 10th after a short illness, leaving behind a world that was brighter because she was in it. Morgan was a beloved daughter, sister and friend whose presence would fill every room. She was a devoted dog mom to Daisy Mae who was her whole world. She lived boldly, laughed loudly and never believed in being anything other than exactly who she was. Fiercely loyal to the people she loved, Morgan showed up when it mattered most – with humor, honesty and a heart that never did anything half-assed.
Morgan was deeply curious about the world and people in it. Always drawn to big questions and thoughtful conversations that often lead to loud debates. This led her to pursue a degree in Philosophy from NIU, which later earned her a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from NIU School of Law.
Outside her studies and career, Morgan like to be close to the earth and nature. Morgan found joy in caring for and propagating her ever growing plant collection. This past year she became a beekeeper and was extremely proud of her first harvest of honey. Morgan also loved cooking – partly because she truly loved good food, but even more she loved sharing it with the people around her. Her kitchen was a place of laughter, experimentation, full bellies, and tons of dirty dishes.
To know Morgan was to know someone who felt life deeply. She loved hard, protected the people she cared about, and brought an energy that was impossible to ignore. She could be stubborn, fearless, hilarious and tender all at once – beautifully and unapologetically feisty as fuck, just as those who loved her will always remember.
Morgan was the cherished daughter to Kevin and Julie (Cochran) Brons, loving sister to Michael and Annalisa (Bucaro) Brons and the best dog mom to her pride and joy Ms. Daisy Mae. She is also survived by her grandparents: Ronald Brons as well as David and Mary Cochran, aunts/uncles; Michele and Stephen Burdett and Tracy Cochran. Several cousins: Jessica and Mark Vandervennet, Randy and Kim Douglas, Rachael Burdett and fiancé Quinn Gannon, Alice and Dana Goggin, Nathan and Alexis Burdett, Devin and Megan Cochran, Hunter DeVoy and fiancé Drew McLafferty, Madison Devoy and Brandon Perez. Along with so many friends who became family. She was preceded in death by her Nana, Maureen Brons.
A celebration of Morgan's life will be held on Saturday, March 28th from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave. in Sycamore, IL. The memorial portion will begin at 2:00 pm. All who loved her are welcome to come together to remember the joy, fire, and unforgettable spirit she brought into this world. This is an extremely informal, come as you are service; jeans and t-shirts are welcomed. If you would like to get up and tell a story about our girl please reach out to her parents.
Morgan's story doesn't end here. She lives on in the hearts of those who loved her, in every laugh that's a little too loud, and every moment when someone refuses to back down or give up on their dreams – just the way she would've wanted.
