Michael J. Ricci, III, 46 of Stillman Valley died on March 16, 2023, at Mercy Health Hospital in Rockford unexpectedly from an ATV accident.

He was born on January 10, 1977, in Arlington Heights to Michael D. Ricci, II and Stormy (Carnal) Klotz.  Mike married Ashley Witters on May 23, 2015, at Genoa Veterans Club.

Mikey was always a great worker, one that you would never want to let go of. He hated this saying, but he truly was the "jack of all trades" who was there when you needed him. Mikey had spent many years working at Blackhawk Moving & Storage until he finally returned to doing what he did best, driving his truck yelling at all the people who didn't know how to drive; never really understood why he loved it so much, but he did. There are so many words to describe this man but the main words that come to mind are loving, loyal, and stubborn as ever. He enjoyed a good laugh, even when the occasion didn't call for laughter, he was there to say something that would make you smile. Sarcasm and shenanigans were his second language, I'm sure right now many of his favorite jokes are coming to mind as we remember what an amazing man he was.

Mikey is survived by his wife Ashley; daughters Allyson Nielsen and MiaBella Jewell Ricci; sons Michael and Antonio Ricci; sisters Robyn Ricci Mondia, Tami Ricci Karpowicz, Melissa (Missy), Michele (Shelly) & Corey Lawton, and Jennifer Noonan; parents Michael Ricci and Stormy Klotz; Grandchildren Braxton, Cohen, William, and Lyllian; Nephews Chad and Mike; Nieces Rebecca, Chyann, Rachel, and Gia; great-nephews Cason and Chad III and great-niece Calla. He also leaves behind many aunts and uncles along with some great friends he cherished dearly.

His memorial visitation will be on Saturday, April 1st from 12:00-3:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home in Genoa, IL.  A celebration of life will be at the Genoa VFW, 311 S. Washington St. in Genoa- during and after the visitation on Sat. April 1st. Please come out and have a "pork chop in a can" in his honor. We will be honoring Mikey the way he wanted, a truck convoy for his last ride will proceed after his visitation.
