Mary Alice Wabel, 96 of Kingston, IL; joined the love of her life on Monday, December 14, 2020. She passed at Bethany Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
She was born August 17, 1924 in Marshall County, Henry Township; daughter of William and Elizabeth (VanCleve) Hunter. Mary Alice married Roscoe A. Wabel on July 14, 1951 in Tiskilwa, IL.
Alice was a farmer's wife and sold Avon for many years in DeKalb County. After retirement she and her husband wintered in Apache Junction, AZ.
She is survived by a son Roscoe (Mary K.) Wabel II, Kingston; two daughters; Carol (Jeff) Shott, Genoa; Linda (Brad) Snow, Sycamore. Six Grandchildren, Rachel, Jason (Natalie) Shott, Derek, and Bret (Jessica Schadel) Snow, Five Great-grandchildren: Bailey, Alexis, Jaxson and Brooklyn Shott, and Greyson Snow (on the way). Two special nephews Steve (Debbie) and Frank (Bev) Hunter and a special niece Karen Plouf.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, one brother (sister-in-law), and a sister-in-law (brother-in-law) and a nephew Bill Hunter.
A private family funeral will be held at Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore with Sally Poe , Officiating (special friend of the family). Private family Burial will be at Genoa Cemetery.
