Mary M. Sebastian, 90, of Sycamore died September 23, 2023 at the SSM Health Monroe Hospital in Wisconsin.

She was born on July 19, 1933 in Paw Paw, IL to Albert and Tobithea "Panzie" (Catron) Kirby.

Mary worked on the assembly line at AG Communications for over 35 years and was the Union Stewart for the employees.  She married Wesley Sebastian, Jr. on December 31, 1964 in Sycamore, IL.

Mary enjoyed going to casinos, playing cards, working on puzzles, cross-stitching, crocheting, knitting and embroidering.  She baked delicious cakes for birthdays and weddings for her family and friends.  Mary was very witty and will be remembered for her sense of humor.

Survivors include her children, Audrey Snyder-Wilson (Wilford), Shirley Christensen (Chris), Terry Patton (Robert), James E. Langley and Tommy G. Langley (Pam); one sister, Linda Blair; 13 grandchildren, Vonda, Penny, Troy, Travis, Kellie, Mark, Mike, Chris, Heather, Tandy, Melanie, Jennifer and Don; many loving great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wesley Sebastian, Jr., in 1989; her daughter, Mary Jane Langley; two brothers, William and Orville Kirby; her sister, Barbara Holman; granddaughter, Tasha Patton; and two great grandsons, Nathan and Jeremy.

Her visitation will be on Thursday Sept. 28th from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., in Sycamore.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Rev. Gary Roca officiating.  Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.
