Mary Jane Langley, 72, of DeKalb died June 2, 2023 at NW Medicine-Kishwaukee Hospital.

She was born on February 4, 1951 in DeKalb to William James and Mary Margaret (Kirby) Langley.  She was married to Francisco Saavedra for 13 years and they were lucky to have been together for 22 wonderful years.

Mary Jane was a  graduate of the Sycamore High School, Class of 1969.

She worked for Sycamore Containers for many years and later was employed by EMD for several years.

Mary Jane loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed doing counted-cross stitch and  making clothes for the children.  Her love for crafting also included- beading fancy ornaments and crocheting many lovely items for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Francisco; 10 step children; her mother, Mary Sebastian; her siblings, Audrey Snyder-Wilson (Wilford), Shirley Christensen (Chris), Terry Patton (Robert), James E. Langley and Tommy G. Langley (Pam); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, William; her step father, Wesley Sebastian; and niece, Tasha Patton.

Her visitation will be on Wednesday, June 7th from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the Butala Funeral Home, Sycamore, IL., with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.
