Mary (Beth)
Elizabeth Foose
Apr 29, 1983 — Nov 15, 2025
Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Foose, 42, passed away on November 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on April 29, 1983, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, Beth was the cherished daughter of Liz and Dan Stump, beloved sister to Tommy Stump, and loving sister-in-law to Erin Stump.
Beth built a life defined by love, kindness, resilience, and her deep devotion to those she cared for. She married the love of her life, Nick Foose, and together they welcomed their greatest blessing—their son, Wyatt. Being Wyatt's mom was the role she loved most. Whether she was watching him skate at the hockey rink, cheer him on at the track, or admire his golf swing, Beth was his biggest supporter, proud of every step he took.
A gifted educator, Beth dedicated her career to shaping young minds in Sycamore School District 427. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with her students, making each child feel seen, valued, and capable. Her compassion, her patience, and the safe, joyful classroom she created left a lasting impact that will live on in the many students and families whose lives she touched.
Beth's legacy is one of showing up—fully, fiercely, and without hesitation—for the people she loved. She was a loyal friend, a trusted confidante, and someone whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength. She fought with exceptional courage and lived with extraordinary heart.
Beth is lovingly remembered by her husband Nick, their son Wyatt, her parents Liz and Dan, her brother Tommy and sister-in-law Erin, and her beloved dog Skye. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Sue Foose; sister-in-law Kristen, her husband Ryan, and their son Trey; brother-in-law Tony and his girlfriend Kelsey; brother-in-law Jason and his wife Heidi; along with many extended family members, friends, colleagues, and students who will forever carry her spirit with them.
Beth's life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the countless hearts she touched.
Her memorial visitation will be on Friday, December 12th from 3:00-8:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL.
