Martin A. Bosshart, 63, of Genoa died November 15, 2024 at his home.

He was born on February 19, 1961 in Elgin, IL to Frederick and Eileen (Murray) Bosshart.

Marty was an avid fisherman, a Chicago Sox and Bears fan and adored his grandchildren. He was a hard worker, a trusted friend and would help anyone in need. Despite his difficult battle with diabetes, he never complained. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his saying "don't sweat the small stuff. "

Survivors include his mother; daughter Amanda Bosshart; grandchildren Jacob Coffman and Kaitlyn Coffman; sisters Kathy Coffee, Jennifer Marshall, Wendy Kraemer, Allison (Sean) Brown; brothers Mark Bosshart, Fred Bosshart, and Tim (Paula) Bosshart; foster-brothers John Shepherd and Stephen Fanslow; many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Bosshart and brother, Daniel Bosshart.

His visitation will be on Wednesday, Nov. 20th from 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Catherine of Genoa Church, 340 S. Stott St. in Genoa, IL.  with a funeral mass beginning at 10:30 AM.

Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery.  A luncheon will follow the burial at the St. Catherine Church.
