Martha J. Thuestad's Obituary
Martha Jane Thuestad, 64 of Kingston died February 17, 2023 at NW Medicine-Kishwaukee Hospital.
She was born on October 14,1958 in Malden, MO to Rufus and Wanda (Hankins) Parson. She married Danny Thuestad on October 16, 2003.
Martha was a hairstylist for several years and eventually opened her own salon in Sycamore, Il. She then committed to taking care of her mother full time at her home. After the passing of her mother, she went into home health care.
Martha had many hobbies from motorcycles to knitting. She shared her husband Dan's love for horses. Together they had horses, a miniature donkey and even a miniature bull. She also enjoyed trail riding and rodeos. She had a pure love for animals. Once she got Yoda, he quickly became the most doted on dog in the world. She really loved Yoda.
Martha truly loved her family. She had one son, Steve, whom she adored. They had a special relationship. When she met Dan, her husband, he became the love of her life. When she married Dan, she gained two more sons, Trent, and Tye. Martha cherished her grandchildren; in her eyes they could do no wrong. She had several siblings, nieces, and nephews. Along with that she had many entertaining stories. She was a Daddy's girl and later in life became her Momma's best friend. She made her family feel special and loved. She will be missed and always in their hearts.
Survivors include her husband, Dan; her son Steve (Jennifer) Chandler; stepsons Trent (Keri) Thuestad, Tye (Sarah)Thuestad; her grandchildren Lindsey (Marshall) Dillon, Jack Chandler, Madison Chandler, Tyler Teske, Gunner Thuestad, and Maverick Thuestad; her sisters Linda Hager, Flora Jean Ashen, Carolyn (Tim) Yarbrough, and her in-laws Sonja (Jim) Davidson, Georgia (Doug) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rufus Ralph and Wanda Marie (Hankins) Parson; her parent- in- laws Vernon G. Thuestad and Ruth C. Thuestad; Her sister Patricia Anne (Trishie) Parson; her sister-in-law Denise Lanardon; her four brothers Phillip Hankins, Donald (Donny) Parson, William (Billy) Parson and Thomas (Tommy) Parson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were completed by the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory Sycamore. IL.
