Marie E. Corson,96, of Genoa passed away Friday, Aug.13, 2021 at Maple Crest Care Center, Belvidere, IL.

Marie was born May 5, 1925 in Hampshire, IL, the daughter of  Alfred John and Rose Herrmann Conro.  She married James V. Corson  2-18-1944.

Her husband preceded her in death on May 20, 2002.  Her parents, daughter,  Velma Rose Chapman, brothers, Ralph, Francis, Tony Conro and sister  Theresa Freeman also preceded her in death.

Survivors include son, Michael James and daughters, Donna (John) Eveans  and Sally Dorneden, sister, Sally (George) Owen's and sister-in-law, Nancy Conro.    Also surviving  are 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren & 8 great great grandchildren.

Marie was a homemaker, seamstress, skilled Baker, flower & vegetable  gardener.   The door to Jim & Marie's homes in Genoa & Kingston  were always open to family & friends  for homemade meals, playing cards & visiting.  Marie will be dearly missed & loved by all.

A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, November 18th from 11:00-2:00 PM at the Genoa Veterans Home, 311 S. Washington St., Genoa, IL. 60135.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to donors choice.   Arrangements were completed by the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa.
