Margaret L. Cutts, 98, of Kingston, IL formerly of Harvard, IL died November 29, 2023 at the Azura Memory Care of Clinton Wisc.
She was born on May 13, 1925 in Harvard, IL to August and Lena (Brunner) Voss. She married Donald Cutts on June 1, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Parsonage in Harvard, having spent 55 happy and memorable years together until his death on July 19, 2000.
Margaret graduated from Harvard Community High School- Class of 1942. She was employed at D. Hereley and Sons for 3 years, Tuttle Electric in Kirkland for 29 years and the U.S. postal service in Kingston for 23 years. She was the treasurer of the Village of Kingston for 8 years.
She was a member of the Kingston United Methodist Church, the Women of the Moose in Harvard and the Harvard Golden Agers.
Margaret enjoyed camping, traveling, jigsaw and find-a-word puzzles, beading, scrapbooks, playing cards and going to the Kingston Friendship Center and her coffee clutch. She always remembered to send birthday, anniversary, etc. cards to family and friends.
Survivors include her niece, Bonnie Russ of Kingston; 3 nephews, Ronald Cutts and William (Nancy) Cutts, both of Harvard and Gary (Valerie) Alt of Poplar Grove; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; 2 sisters, Viola (Floyd) Alt and Gertrude (Stanley) Cutts; 3 nieces, Judy Kurth, Carol Lieb and Linda Burnett; and one nephew, Rick Cutts.
Her visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 8th from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM at the Kingston United Methodist Church, 121 W. First St., Kingston, IL. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM with Rev. Jackie Wills officiating.
A luncheon will follow the service at the Kingston Friendship Center and burial will be after the luncheon at the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock, IL.
