Marcia Colleen, 74, of Sycamore died December 29, 2024 at the Journey Care Center of Barrington.

Marcia was born on July 29, 1950 to George and Alice (Mockler) Ehorn in Elgin, IL.

Marcia was a graduate of the Elgin High School, Class of 1969.  Marcia attended Grand Rapids Baptist College and Seminary 1975-1976.

She had a passion for traveling, visiting Germany, Spain, Italy and other various locations.

Marcia was a nurses aide at Sherman Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital.  She also was a CNA for home health care.

Marcy loved to do arts and crafts.  She was known as a social butterfly, talking to her family and friends.  She loved to go shopping with her friends.  She was also an avid reader.

She was a strong Christian.  She loved her family.  Her greatest accomplishment was raising her son, Joshua.  She had a love for her pets- Mickey, Sugar Foot and Bernie.

Marcia will be missed by her husband, David; her son, Joshua; her brothers, Michael (Rose) Ehorn, Gordy (Cheryl) Ehorn and many of her closest friends.

The Ford/Ehorn family would like to express our gratitude to the caregivers at Bethany Rehabilitation and Health Care Center of Sycamore, IL and Journey Care Hospice of Barrington, IL for their care of Marcia and helping us along the way.

The wake will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. A private graveside service will be on Tuesday.
