Madeline N. Remer (Maggie Gagnier), 55, died Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Kishwaukee Hospital.
She was born October 4, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan.
A long-time resident of northwest suburban Chicago, Maggie graduated Schaumburg High School, went on to excel in her studies and earned a professional license in cosmetology. Her skills enabled her to achieve managerial positions for Marshall Field's Salon, Cosmetic Center and Victory, a professional salon supply chain. She was also active in the Rebekahs, an auxiliary of the Elgin Branch OddFellows, and held the office of Chaplain for the group.
Maggie is survived by her mother Barbara E. Stevenson (James Truels) of Arlington Heights, her brother Carroll G. Gagnier of Cortland, and father Carroll K. Gagnier of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She will be missed by her extended family, James Truels (honorary stepdad), June Truels (honorary grandma) and many friends.
