Louise C. Lanan, 76, of Kingston died July 4, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 30, 1949 in Sycamore, IL. to Rupert and Ruth Jordan.  She married Michael Lanan on March 19, 1988.
Louise graduated from Sycamore. She attended Waubonsee College and graduate with her Associates of applied science in nursing. Louise worked for over 40 years as a registered nurse.

Louise loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved doing art projects with them and making fun memories. She loved tending to her flower gardens. She took pride in caring for her cats throughout the many years living on her farm. Louise was an avid Chicago Cub and Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include her husband Michael Lanan. Three children: Christina (Steve) Materazzi, Ben Lanan, and Michelle (Michael) Borrelli. Her 5 Grandchildren: Max and Jake Materazzi, Scott Lutz, Kinsley and Emma Borrelli. Her 2 brothers John (Pat) Jordan and David Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rupert and Ruth Jordan and her in-laws Henry and Janet Lanan.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Heartland Hospice.  And the nurses that cared for her during her hospitalizations and appointments she attended to during her battle with cancer.

Her visitation will be on Saturday, July 11th from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St., Genoa, IL.  A memorial service will begin at 12:00 pm.

Memorials can be made for Louise Lanan, to the Barn on Baseline or Barb City Manor in care of the Slater-Butala Funeral Home.
