Lorraine M. "Sis" Joos, 104, died Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her home.
She was born on November 13, 1916 in Chicago to William and Clara (Peters) Joerger. She married Raymond Joos in 1938.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Hansel; 3 grandchildren, Donald Hansel, Karen (Michael) Phillips and Kathy Hansen; 9 great grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Phillips, Christopher (Darcee) Phillips, Douglas Phillips, Krystal Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Tamie Hansen, Tanya Hansen, Samantha Hansel and Erika Hansel; and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her sister, LaVerne (Jim) Hanke; her brother, William (Mary) Joerger and son-in-law, Robert Hansel.
Her visitation will be on Friday, October 8th from 12:00 PM (Noon) until 2:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa. Her funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Oct. 8th, with Rev. David Bateman officiating.
Memorials can be made for the St. John's United Church of Christ in Harmony, IL. in care of the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St., Genoa, IL. 60135.
