Lisa Marie
Pope
Aug 21, 1964 — May 15, 2020
Lisa Marie Pope (nee De Phillips) of Genoa, age 55, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020.
She was a beloved daughter to Theresa (nee Pupillo) and the late Joseph De Phillips; devoted wife to Steven; caring mother to Tyler and Jessica (John Ramza); cherished sister of Kathy (Mark) Pope and Cristopher De Phillips (Laurie Ipsen); loving aunt to Willis (Brittany) and Amanda Pope and Stephanie (Renard) Battle; and a loyal friend to many.
Lisa once said she wanted three things in life: to be a wife, to be a mother, and to take care of others. Those dreams came true when she met the love of her life, Steven. They went on to have two beautiful children who she loved more than anything in the world, and she spent her entire life selflessly taking care of them and the rest of her family.
Her love and kindness was not limited to her immediate family – she was also a source of joy and stability for her cousins, friends, and extended family; she was a true animal-lover with many pets, including Missy, Trixie, Shelby, and Sugar; and she enjoyed her career as a professional caregiver who assisted those in need and less fortunate than her.
She will be remembered for her protective, maternal nature; for her courage and strength, for always wanting to smile and see others smile; and of course, the birthday cakes she made for all of us.
Above all, Lisa will be remembered as someone who genuinely loved unconditionally. We are all better for the impact her love had on our lives and the treasured memories she has left us with.
Lisa will be sorely missed - May she rest in peace.
