Linda K. "Nin" (Chapman) Johnson, 68, of Kirkland died Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Maple Crest Care Centre in Belvidere.

She was born September 1, 1951 in DeKalb to Lester A. and Altha A. (Robinson) Chapman.
Linda was a graduate of the Hiawatha High School, Class of 1969.  She worked for Ideal Industries in Sycamore and retired after many years of service.
She is survived by her mother, Altha Melvin of Tampa, FL.; sisters, Wanda (Don) Mc Murray of Kirkland and Debra (Bobby) Jones of Tampa, FL.; brothers, William (Wanalyn) Chapman of Jonesborough, TN. and Richard (Shirley) Chapman of Johnson City, TN.; foster son, Lowell "Butch" (Katie) Brush of Kirkland and their children; special friend, James Magee of Belvidere; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lester; brother, Charles Chapman; and great nephew, Devynn Harvel.
The family would like to thank Maple Crest Care Centre and staff for the wonderful care given to Linda over the last few years.
A memorial visitation will be on Friday, October 11th from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St., Genoa, IL.  A service will begin at 11:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home.
