Liam P. Sullivan, 23, of Sycamore died Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
He was born on March 24, 1997 in Murphysboro, IL to Michael and Susan (Piper) Sullivan.
Liam was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He attained the rank of Sergeant and served his country proudly.
Liam had a passion for sports, especially the Chicago Bears and Cubs. His greatest loves were football and rugby- he was his happiest on the field with his teammates.
Liam loved his family and always had a warm smile and rare gift of always being a beaming light for others regardless of what kind of day he was having.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Susan Sullivan; three brothers, Bryan (Kristin) Sullivan, John Sullivan and Schylar Sullivan; 2 nieces, Wrigley and Elliot; his grandmothers, Patricia Witzman and Mary Winterland; his grandfather, Stephen Barnes; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of dear friends whom he held dear to his heart.
A walk through visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 20th from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Church of St. Mary, 244 Waterman St., Sycamore, IL. A limit of 10 guests will be allowed in the church at one time- to follow the IDPH Covid rulings. Facial coverings and social distancing will be enforced.
A funeral mass will begin at 12:30 PM on Friday at the Church. It will be live streamed on their website (
stmarysycamore.com
). A total of 84 people will be able to be in the Church for the mass. If unable to join the funeral mass, please come to the graveside service at 1:30 PM at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 1002 W. State St., Sycamore, IL. Full military honors will be recited.
