Leon W. Hodgson's Obituary
Leon W. Hodgson, 83, of DeKalb, IL, formerly of Genoa, IL died October 7, 2022 at the Bethany Rehabilitation Center in DeKalb.
He was born September 12, 1934 in Argusville, ND. He was born to Charles W. and Leona I. Hodgson.
Leon proudly served in the USAF from 1953-1957, during the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal.
Leon worked as a carpenter, general contractor and was a car salesman for Hodgson Motors in Genoa.
Survivors include his sister, Loretta Svenkerud of Genoa, IL; children, Debbie Kucharik of Largo, FL, Colleen Knowlson of Tampa Bay, FL, Leon Hodgson of Delavan, WI, Kolee Hodgson of Rockford, IL and two adopted sons, Kenneth Hodgson of Genoa, IL and Kelly Hodgson of Kennewick, WA; several grandchildren; great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was further preceded in death by his sister, Mavis Morrison and Jacqueline Falk.
Private family services with military honors will be held at a later date in Argusville, ND.
Arrangements were completed by the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory of Sycamore, IL.
