Greenberg

February 19, 1949 - March 12, 2025

Lawrence M. Greenberg beloved husband of the late Yvonne Greenberg. Larry passed away on March 12, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his sister Sarah (Steven) Schurr, his step children Michael (Lori) Swedberg and Kimberly Budnik, his step grandchildren James (Jessie) Swedberg, Sharon (Omar) Ordaz and Kevin Budnik, four step great grandchildren Luther and Andrew Swedberg and Owen and Norah Ordaz.

He was preceded by his parents Joseph and Sylvia Greenberg, his step son in law Michael Budnik and his Aunt Molly Kovitz along with many other relatives.

Larry was graduate of Roosevelt High School and Northwestern with a Masters in teaching. He taught many years for the Chicago public schools. He met and married Yvonne (Kennedy) Greenberg on August 8th 1984. They had many adventures together working for special events including The Loyola Rambler and The Vince Lombardi "Award for Excellence".

He will be buried alongside his late wife Yvonne in Dekalb, Illinois on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025. Visitation will be 10:00 am that day at Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 Dekalb Ave. Sycamore IL 60178 with burial at 12:00 pm.
