Lanny (Len) Hammond, 86, of Berwyn, IL, passed away on February 23, 2021 in Sycamore, IL.

Len was born in Gordo, AL, to Monroe and Pearl Hammond.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings.

Len is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Angie Hammond; his children, Mike (Darcy Kelly) Hammond, Laura (Bob) Simpson, Scott (Lisa Dunning) Hammond; and his grandchildren, Sam (Maria DiVietro) Simpson, Andrew Hammond, Lily Simpson, Becky Hammond, Kyle Hammond, Charlotte Simpson, Ryan Hammond, and Annabella Simpson.

A funeral mass will be held at the Church of St. Mary, 244 Waterman St, Sycamore, IL 60178, on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10:30a.m.

Burial is private and will be at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in care of Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave. Sycamore, IL 60178, for the family to decide at a later time.
