Kelli L. Butcher
August 20, 1958 - November 3, 2023
Kelli L Butcher, 65, of Sycamore died November 3, 2023. Kelli was born on August 20, 1958 and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Kelli is survived by her daughter, Katie (Matt) Klein; her son, Justin (Courtney) Butcher; two grandchildren, Caleb and Amelia Butcher; her dog and daily companion, Trixie; brothers, Steve (Mary Lou) and David (Terry) Spoerl; sister, Elissa (Craig) Crigger; and mother, Paula Spoerl. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis Butcher; father, Howard Spoerl; and nephew, Michael Turpening.
Kelli will be remembered for her ability to light up any room she entered with her laughter and smile. Kelli served the community for over a decade as a bus driver. The connection she made with students and relationships built with co-workers brought so much happiness and joy to her life. Starting at a young age, Kelli had an unmatched work ethic and was a very independent and driven woman.
Her children, grandchildren, siblings, and many nieces and nephews will all miss her sense of humor, wit, and willingness to always be there when needed. She loved her grandchildren deeply. She enjoyed sleepovers, reading books, and playing games with them. She especially loved watching Caleb play hockey on the weekends.
Kelli took great pleasure in watching her children and grandchildren grow up. She enjoyed the simple things in life; drinking her coffee while listening to her windchimes, gardening, and weekend motorcycle rides with her husband, son and daughter-in-law, and friends.
She touched the lives of many and leaves behind cherished memories.
A memorial service will be held on November 18th, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1745 Kaneville Rd #1, Geneva, IL 60134.
Visitation will be held 10:00am to 11:00am and a celebration of life service from 11:00am to 12:00pm. A light lunch will follow provided by Dave's Slow Foods.
Flowers can be sent to Faith Lutheran Church on Thursday, November 16th, from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
If you'd like to make a memorial contribution in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Justin Butcher for Caleb & Amelia's college fund in honor of Kelli.
We all want to express our gratitude for the support and condolences received during this difficult time. It brings us peace to know that Kelli is now with her husband Dennis watching over their beloved grandchildren, children and family.
