In Loving Memory of Kathleen Joyce Rodriguez

January 4, 1951-June 27, 2025

Kathleen Rodriguez passed away unexpectedly in Sycamore Illinois on June 27, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Joyce (Ruud) Noel and her brother David Noel.

She is survived by her daughter Yolanda Calderon, granddaughters Jasmine Stipher, Sarah Cotter, Desiree Lindo, Kianna Thompson, her siblings Fern Ollerenshaw, Steve Noel, and Laura Noel-Braun, her niece Denise Noel, her nephew Zach Braun, and her many great grandchildren.

Kathie's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She adored time spent with her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She loved the sunshine and could be seen spending time outdoors tending to her numerous well-loved plants. Kathie enjoyed listening to her records. She was a strong Christian who also loved collecting Buddhas. She cherished having friends and family over to her home and made sure everyone was connected and well fed with her revered meals.  Kathie has passed on many traditions that will continue to be passed infinitely. Kathie had a heart of gold, filled with generosity and love. She will be profoundly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held on September 14, 2025 at 11am with an open house luncheon following from 12pm-4pm at Cortland Lions Den 70 S. Llanos St, Cortland, IL, 60112.
