Kathleen Helen "Stormy" Klotz, 79, of Kirkland died on December 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 19, 1946 on the U.S. Naval Base in Oakland, CA.  She was the daughter of Frank and Geraldine (White) Carnal.  She married Rodney Klotz, who died in June of 2022.

Stormy was the manager for various local businesses and was the owner of "Hogs" a general store in Kingston for many years.

From a young age, Stormy found happiness riding horses and had a deep bond with all animals.  The outdoors was a source of peace and joy throughout her life.  She also was an Elvis enthusiast with his music and energy keeping her lively throughout the day.  Stormy always looked forward to going to the local slot machine establishment- with her magnifier and visiting with her friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Melissa (Missy) Lagerstrom, Michele (Shelly) and Corey Lawton and Jennifer Noonan; daughter-in-law, Ashley Ricci; 9 grandchildren, Chad, Chyann, Rebecca, Rachel, Giavanna (Gia), Allyson, MiaBella, Michael (Mikey) and Antonio (Tony); a proud great grandmother of 9- Jayla, Cason, Calla, Chad III, Charlotte, Braxton, Cohen, William and Lilly; her auntie mom, Joan; numerous cousins; and her kitty, Elvis.

Stormy had 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and died on December 9th- so 999 means: turning any negative situation or struggle into something positive and using it as motivation to move forward!

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rodney; and her son Michael Ricci,III.

Her Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 1:00-6:00 PM at the Genoa VFW, 311 S. Washington St., Genoa, IL.
