Kathey L. Badner, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Clare, Illinois, on September 10, 2026. 

Born on June 30, 1957, she was the beloved daughter of the late Karl and Susan Korthauer of Aurora, Illinois.

Kathey was a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She cherished her family above all else and built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carey Badner, and her cherished daughter, Toni Cobb (husband Justin Cobb) of Peru, Illinois.

Services will be held privately by the family at Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Cemetery, in Yorkville, Illinois. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathey’s honor to Cross Lutheran Church.
