Juliana Calendo, 81 of Genoa died Friday, March 5, 2021 at the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born on August 26, 1939 in Oak Park to Frank and Anne (Ratini) Sepka.  She married Patrick Calendo on June 6, 1959 in Melrose Park.
Juliana worked 25 years for the Dekalb County Clerks Office.
A devout Catholic, her life revolved around faith, family, and food.
Survivors include- sons, Patrick (Anna) Calendo, Phillip (Diana) Calendo, daughters Theresa (Darrin) Hepker, Christina Calendo, Maria (Bill) Storey, Julie (Matt) Andersen, Barb Calendo-Mathey, Elizabeth (Jason) Mattis. Loving Grandmother to Dominic, Gina, Vince, Nick, Alex, and Grace Calendo, Tira, Samantha, Alyssa, and Isabella Hepker, Billy, Anna, and Rachel Storey, Joey, Marisa and Andrew Thompson, Zach and Mike Mathey, Peyton and Liam Mattis. Great Grandmother of 17.
She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick and her grandson Nick.
Her visitation will be on Wednesday, March 10th from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore.
Her funeral mass will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Catherine of Genoa Church, 340 S. Stott, Genoa, IL.   Burial will follow at the St. Catherine Cemetery in Genoa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the donor's choice of a local food pantry or their favorite catholic charity in care of the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
