Judith M. Klassen, 71, of Genoa died November 26, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on May 22, 1953 in Belvidere, IL to LaVerne and Luella (Ollmann) Lawton.

She married Dennis Klassen on October 13, 1973.

Judy retired from AO Smith Harvester after many years of service.  She was an avid Chicago Bears fan, she enjoyed going to lighting at the VFW,
she loved doing her crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her 4 children Ronald Riley, Melvin (Sheila) Klassen, Edward Klassen and Angela Klassentatroe;
8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 brother Gary (Tuffy) Lawton, 1 sister Sandra Lawton and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents LaVerne and Luella Lawton, her Husband Dennis Klassen;
her brothers Jeffrey, Terry, Dale, and Barry (Slug); her sisters Patricia and Trudy, sister-in-law Terry,
her granddaughter Katrina.

Her visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 6th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St., Genoa, IL.

Her funeral service will be on Saturday, Dec. 7th at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Roca officiating.  Burial will follow at the Genoa Cemetery.

At 1:00 PM on Saturday, Dec. 7th, the family would like to invite everyone to a luncheon in the basement of the Genoa Veterans Home, 311 S. Washington St., in Genoa.
