Judith L. Burkhard, 83, of Genoa, IL died October 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 16, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Charles and Lena (Tringl) Tyrolt.  She married D. Richard Burkhard on September 21, 1963.

Judy was an avid gardener, loved all dogs, enjoyed country western and line dancing and had a great sense of humor.   Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and the special bond with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Dan (Kanokpron) Burkhard of Ogden, UT; her daughter, Kristen (Michael) Wagnon of Ogden, UT; 4 grandchildren, Angelica Gonzalez of CA, Christopher Burkhard of CA, Emilee (Cullen) Phillips of VA and Charles (Rylee) Sichz of UT; 2 sisters, Jayne Christiansen of Eden, UT and Susan Shields of Morro Bay, CA; and her dear friends, Lori and Dale Swanson and their children Hunter and Madelynn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 2005.

Her memorial visitation will be on Saturday, October 18th from 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St., Genoa, IL.  A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
