Obituary

Joseph C. Stuckey 71, of Sycamore, IL died on November 23, 2022 at Aperion Care in DeKalb, IL.

Joseph was born on February 9, 1951 in Chicago, IL to Carl and Betty Stuckey.  Joseph and Colleen were married on October 8, 1977.

He was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for many years.  He was a member of Local 701 Automobile Mechanics Union.

Joseph enjoyed going to different car shows.  He loved spending time with family and friends.

He battle Amyloid AL for 17 years without complaining.  Joseph went through 4 chemo's during those years.  He was treated between Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  Thank you to all the doctors and medical professionals who had a part in treating Joe.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen Stuckey.  Loving father of the late, Colleen Marie Stuckey and surviving son, Gregory (Kate) Stuckey.  Devoted grandfather of Nick, Lydia, and Valerie.

Joseph's pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.

He was the dear brother of Tom (Sue), Mary (the late Jim), Ed (Joanne), Jim (Diane).  Joseph is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was a loving friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Betty Stuckey; and an infant brother, Michael.

Joseph's last week of life was very special.  He had so many family members and friends visit or call on the phone to say final goodbye's, I love you's and talk about the good times.  It was so beautiful that so many people came or called.  It was like a living memorial.  A very unique and unusual end of life.  Joe was so loved by many.  Thank you to all!
